School Rules & Timings

School Rules

  1. Each student should carry the almanac to school with his photograph and identification information complete and signed by the parent.
  2. I-card is mandatory for every student.
  3. Student should be clean and neatly dressed. The school uniform is to be worn every day and for all school functions. Every Friday, students to be dressed in House T-shirt
  4. Non-Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals.
  5. Students, who come to school by private transport should report on time, failing to do so they will be sent back home.
  6. Parents and guardians may not visit their wards or teachers in the class rooms without the permission of the authorities.
  7. The school follows a policy of “Section shuffle” based on boys-girls ratio, age and third language.
  8. It is compulsory for every student to speak in English in the school campus and in the school bus.

Kindaly Note : It is extremely important that the students adhere to the code of conduct laid down by the school. On failing to do so, they will be dealt with severely without exemption.

Payment Of Fees

The tuition fees and transport charges are payable quarterly in the month of April, July, October and January. Payment of fees has to be made through Postdated Cheques (pertaining to April, July, October and January Quarters). One time advance payment of fees can also be made for the whole session through cheques / pay order.

NURSERY to H.K.G. 7:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. (Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.)
STD – 1st to 7th 11:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. (Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.)
All Saturdays are holidays for students of NURSERY.

Visiting Houes For Parents

The school would like parents to maintain a close rapport with the teachers teaching their children in school. Parents are advised to meet Principal, Sr.Vice Principal, Vice Principal and Head Mistress with prior appointment. If utmost necessary, Parents can also meet the Academic Coordinator, class reps., class teachers and subject teachers, by prior appointment during assembly time. Parents are not permitted to go to the classrooms to meet teachers during regular teaching periods.

Late Arrival In School

  • The school gate will close if the student comes 10 minutes late.
  • All late arrivals will be sent back home.
  • Late arrivals are not allowed to come by the next route and the parents are requested not to drop their wards to the school late.

 

Absence

  1. Students who have been sick should bring a medical certificate from their doctor on joining school.
  2. Parents should fill up the "Record for Non-Attendance" for each day the student is absent from school stating the reasons for absence.
  3. No one who has been absent on the previous day will be admitted to the class without a letter from the parent, addressed to the class teacher, stating the reason for the absence.
  4. Leave for going out of station should be approved prior to proceeding on leave. In case of emergency, parents are informed that they have to report to the Principal/Vice-Principal/Headmistress. They are not supposed to go to the classes directly.
  5. A student returning to school after suffering from a contagious disease should produce a doctor's certificate permitting him to do so. Students suffering from the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to school.
    1. Chicken pox - Till all scabs fall off.
    2. Cholera - Till the child is completely well.
    3. Measles - Two weeks after the rash disappears.
    4. Mumps - Until the swelling has gone; about one month.
    5. Whooping Cough - Six weeks
    6. Jaundice - Six weeks after recovery
    7. Swine Flu - Till the time the Dr. specifies
  6. Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than three months renders the student is liable to have his name struck off the rolls. His caution money deposit will be forfeited.
  7. It is compulsory for students to maintain 75% attendance during the course of the academic session, to enable them to appear for the final examination.
  8. A certificate of merit will be given to students with 100% attendance.
  9. The percentage, however, could be relaxed on medical grounds, but such students will not be eligible to receive any prizes.
